Winery Tours, Where
to Start?
There are too many
wineries to see in one
trip. In fact, there are
too many to see in a
dozen
visits. Research the
wineries on the
internet, pick out the
wineries that are more
appealing to you. Two to
three
wineries a day is a
practicable limit.
Most
wineries are open 10am
to 4:30pm or 5pm. Some of the
wineries may have
extended hours during
the summer. A few newer
wineries may have free
tastings and tours. Tasting
fees are approximately
$10 to $20.
If you're on a prepaid wine
tasting and tour,
tastings are usually
included with the tour
fee. If you're on a
short weekend trip or
planning to visiting
more than three or four
wineries in a day, it
would be wise to rent a
limousine for the day
and have a safe blast.
Wine tour
companies know the
vineyards very well and
can get you to the
wineries you desire quickly
and safely. |
